Getting a cochlear implant was one of the best decisions I made in my short life. My excellent surgeon, Dr. Joe Roberson, his CI surgeon team ( Dr. Ted Mason and a few others ) managed to drill out the bone growth from my cochlea. Several years later, I've decided to get a second cochlear implant. I'm in the process of finding out my options and it looks like my insurance will cover everything though I might have a co-payment of $200 to $300.

I'm hoping to have my 2nd cochlear implant surgery during the summer while my voice teacher is on her maternity leave.
