FINALLY!!!

It has been too long since my last post on this blog.  My surgery, which I mentioned in the summer of 2010, was rescheduled as a result of the implant recall.  It was recalled less than 24 hours before my scheduled surgery!   The implant finally went back on market in the Fall of 2011, almost ONE year after the recall.

My surgery was rescheduled for the first week of November.  I was anxious that my surgery would be cancelled, so I did not tell anyone about my upcoming surgery.  As I was wheeled into OR the day of surgery, it dawned on me that it was really happening!

I am grateful that I now have TWO cochlear implants.
